Parallels

A journey to Erith on the shore of the Thames parallels a journey to Venice with my grandmother. The parallel journeys remind me of how I have changed. Remembering my grandparents, their habits and mine, my grandfather's gifted green scarf, trying to revive their memory in Erith is a haunting activity.
